classes, Salsa dancing and Cuban culture. Learn the
Cuban culture, get the flava of the country, the amazing architecture,

beautiful and exceptionally diverse country.
This tour is a must for anyone who is passionate about the music and wants
to gain a deeper appreciation of the essence of Cuban salsa & dance. Whether
you are an experienced
salsero
wanting to
polish your skills, or a complete beginner, this course will be tailored to
suit your needs. While the focus is on the dance classes, developing a real
understanding of the music's Afro-Spanish roots is equally important. By
combining three spectacular locations; the exhilarating city of Havana, the
enchanting colonial city of Trinidad and the spectacular scenic Pinar Del
Rio, this holiday will give you an insight into the many different
dimensions of Cuban life.

DAY 1 – Wednesday 14th
October 2009
Fly to Havana,
arriving at José Martí International Airport Transfer to Occidental Miramar
4 (*) where a welcome cocktail will be waiting for you.
DAY 2 – Thursday
In order to get
a sense of the city and its people, we will start the day with a
City Tour. We will have lunch (included) together at a renowned
restaurant “Meson de La Flota” in Havana Vieja,
Old Havana, before heading back to the hotel. The evening is at your
disposal: you may want to stroll along the romantic seawall (Malecón) and
have a relaxing night or, if you prefer to do something more “energetic”,
the tour leader/guide will happily provide you with some tips.
DAY 3 – Friday
Dancing starts!
The next four days are devoted to the dancing classes.
The exciting programme will take you
through a journey of salsa, rumba, mambo, cha cha cha, reggaeton etc
with cuba’s finest teachers and dancers.
Lessons will be held every day between 10:30 am to 3:30 pm,
with an hour for lunch. The levels of all participants are assessed and
classes are tailored to suit existing skills. All our instructors are
professional dancers who completed their education at some
of Cuba's leading dance academies.
DAY 4 – Saturday
The dancing
program is as on the previous day. You have the option of visiting Sabado de
La Rumba afternoon, which you can visit. In the evening we can visit the
legendary Casa de la Música de Playa, host to some of the
best live salsa bands.
DAY 5 – Sunday
The dancing
program is as on the previous days. You have the option in the afternoon to
visit Santa Maria Beach to relax and enjoy some sun, sea and top up that
tan. In the evening we can visit the legendary Casa de la Música in
Central Havana to be welcomed with a
refreshing cocktail, host to some of the best live salsa
bands. Joined by our dancing instructors and assistants!
DAY 6 – Monday
The dancing program is as on the previous day. The rest of the evening is at
your disposal.
DAY 7
- Tuesday
It is our last day in Havana. After breakfast, we will check out of the
hotel and head to Trinidad
were we will check in to Hotel Brisas Del Mar 4(*)
DAY 8 – Wednesday
After breakfast
we will start the day with a tour of Trinidad,
which is declared a
World Heritage Site by UNESCO, an
enchanting colonial town, preserved so that the charms of the 19th
Century are still very much alive. We will
visit the
Major Square, the museum, spectacular views across The Valley of the
Sugar Mills, House Makanaca and the hand made pottery factory passed down
through many generations! In the evening we can
visit the exciting Casa de la Trovas. A selection of bands and
artists play on rotation. Join in dancing salsa with the locals.
DAY 9 – Thursday
This day is for you to relax on the beach and enjoy the facilities of
the hotel and the all-inclusive menu. The
evening is free for you to
enjoy as you choose.
The hotel
provides entertainment and shows in the evening
or we can visit the
exciting Cave nightclub.
DAY 10 – Friday
After breakfast we will be checking out of the hotel and we
will move back to Havana to Occidental Miramar 4 (*)
The evening is free for you to unwind however you choose.
DAY 11 – Saturday
After breakfast we will have our last day of salsa classes.
10:30am to 3:30pm with an hour for lunch, A chance to recap all what you
have learnt. In the afternoon you can do a bit of last minute shopping and
in the evening we can visit one of the two Casa de La Musica in Havana once
again joined by our dancing instructors and assistants!
DAY 12 – Sunday
After
breakfast, we will check out of the hotel and head to Pinar Del Rio, Vinales
were
we will check in to Hotel La Ermita 3/4 (*)The evening is free for you to unwind however you choose.
DAY 13 – Monday
After breakfast
we will start the day with a
tour of Vinales, visit the Indian Cave, the
mural, tobacco farm etc. The afternoon and evening is free
for you to enjoy as you choose. In the evening we can visit
Polo Montanez for
some salsa dancing action with the locals.
DAY 14 – Tuesday
This day is
for you to relax, maybe go horse riding or visit Cayo Levisa a secluded
Island a ferry ride away with a breathtaking beach.
In the evening we can visit
Palenke, Casa de la Musica or Polo Montanez for some more salsa dancing
action with the locals.
DAY 15 – Wednesday
Our last day. In
the afternoon, we will take you to the airport for your return flight. You
will arrive home the following day.
